Debra Peek-Haynes
President

Areas of Specialization:
Debra Peek-Haynes is an experienced executive with more than twenty years of sales management and fifteen years in commercial real estate. She has established a solid commercial real estate base and is instrumental in consummating activities that generate multimillion-dollar transactions.

Experience:
Ms. Peek-Haynes began her sales career in 1982, advancing rapidly to management positions with responsibilities including sales budgeting, forecasting and contract negotiations. As usual, she proved herself adept at functioning in highly competitive “business to business” environments. And with creative technical astuteness, she developed and managed numerous real estate projects. Using this acumen, Ms. Peek-Haynes opened her own commercial real estate brokerage, Quorum Commercial.

Ms. Peek-Haynes was appointed to the City of Dallas Plan (Zoning) Commission in 1995 where she served until 1997. During her tenure she successfully represents investors, developers and end users in markets throughout Texas and the United States.

Education:
Ms. Peek-Haynes received her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with a minor in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University. She is a licensed real estate broker and is pursuing coursework for certification as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) as well as continuing education in the commercial real estate arena.

Accomplishments:
Ms. Peek-Haynes was responsible for disposition of multimillion-dollar assets for the Dallas Independent School District. She assisted American Airlines in locating to a historically underdeveloped urban industrial park, which provided over 300 new positions for area residents. When a national commercial real estate company was provided an opportunity to make a presentation to General Motors, Ms. Peek-Haynes was requested by their team to be one of the presenters. She, along with the team, was selected by General Motors to handle the site selection of new automotive dealerships and the disposition of dealership real estate in a number of cities across the United States. Ms. Peek-Haynes was one of three brokers contracted by The University of North Texas to negotiate a historic 250-acre acquisition in southeast Dallas. This tract of land was used for the University\'s new Dallas campus development.

Professional and Community Involvement:
Ms. Peek-Haynes is a former board member of the Dallas Women\'s Foundation and a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She also serves on the Board of the African American Museum, the University of North Texas School of Community Service Advisory Board and the Frederick Douglas Academy Board of Directors. She is a former member of the Dallas Symphony Board and Dallas Women\'s Foundation. Ms. Peek-Haynes is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of REALTORS (NTCAR), National Association of REALTORS (NAR) and Greater Dallas Association of REALTORS (GDAR). She has been nominated for several prestigious awards for commitment to professionalism and dedication to her community. She receives numerous requests to speak to businesses and organizations about the viability of economic development in inner city communities. Ms. Peek-Haynes is also active in charitable and liberating ministries through her church, Friendship West Baptist Church, where her husband is Senior Pastor. She is also the mother to a daughter, Abeni Jewel.
 



Derek L. Brown
President, Quorum Commercial Detroit

Derek Brown is the President of Quorum Commercial\'s expansion office in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Brown has twenty-seven years commercial real estate experience and has held positions in leasing, property management and construction management. He is comfortable in negotiating highly competitive transactions. Mr. Brown has experience with some of the largest companies in the country. With knowledge and skill, he successfully services major as well as smaller companies. After many years with a major commercial company, Mr. Brown was impressed with the Quorum Commercial team and decided to join forces with an African American, woman-owned firm. Mr. Brown\'s background reinforces Quorum\'s commitment to providing outstanding, value-added client services.

Experience:
Mr. Brown represented the Renaissance Center as office leasing vice president for a period of 11 years, from 1983 to 1994. The Renaissance Center is the finest business address in the metropolitan Detroit area, and perhaps the state of Michigan. While in this position he was required to report to institutional owners including: John Hancock, Traveler\'s Insurance, Aetna Insurance Company and the Equitable Assurance Company. In this position his responsibilities included managing the marketing and leasing of 2.2 million square feet of office space. This required the personal handling of approximately 50 leases yearly. Specifically, he was required to draft, amend and to negotiate to full execution all transactions.

Education:
Mr. Brown received his Bachelors degree from Eastern Michigan University majoring in Business Administration and earned a Master of Business Administration at the University of Michigan. Mr. Brown is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the National Association of Realtors. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Mr. Brown held the office of President for the Detroit Area Commercial Board of Realtors in 1995 and the same office at the Detroit Board of Realtors in 1993. Mr. Brown has served on the Public Policy Committee and RPAC, where he served as chairman in 2003.

Accomplishments:
Mr. Brown successfully negotiated a lease for Thyssen Steel\'s U.S. Headquarters in Detroit. He managed the marketing and leasing of the 2.2 million square foot Renaissance Center. He was also recognized as Realtor of the year, 1995, and was the recipient of the 100% Club Award, 1999. Mr. Brown served the City of Inkster as the Land Acquisition Manager in the Annapolis Point Project 2003-2005. He negotiated the sale of the Dequindre Railroad line to General Motors and the sale of the Aurora Hospital to the Salvation Army. Mr. Brown has been married to his wife Deborah for 25 years. They have 2 children Linsey (25) and Aaron (21). Mr. Brown and his family live in Detroit.

 

  
Delphine A. Ganious
Executive Assistance to the President

Delphine Ganious is responsible for the overall business management and financial operations of the firm. Ms. Ganious manages all agent files, financial reporting and related record keeping, as well as develops and oversees needed databases. In her capacity of assisting the president of the company, she coordinates the calendar, the scheduling of meetings and required obligations. Along with her duties and responsibilities, Delphine assists with the planning of events and marketing initiatives.
 
Experience:
Ms. Ganious’ entrepreneurial endeavors and experience in human resources have given her expertise in the areas of office and staff management. As an owner of her own business for 13 years, she has a keen working knowledge in sales and service, partnership building, budget management, integration of financial software, and the management of contractors and vendors. Delphine, having designed and implemented her own sales materials, understands the importance of a well thought out marketing plan. She has had much success with the up sell and cross sell of products and services.
 
Another strength that Delphine possess is a solid customer service foundation and a proven track record in sales. Her tenure as an Accounts Manager at a major corporation has provided her in depth knowledge in customer relationship building and client retention. When this expertise is paired with the skills of analysis and assessment gained as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, it becomes obvious why Delphine has keen staff and client management skills.
 
Education:
Ms. Ganious attended Eastfield College in Mesquite , Texas there she earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree. Upon graduation, she entered UT Southwestern and received a Bachelor of Science degree in the area of Rehabilitation Science. Delphine is currently completing real estate coursework to become a licensed real estate agent, and to pursue her interest in property management.
 
Accomplishments:
Some of Delphine’s accomplishments include serving as a South Dallas Fair Park Trust Fund Board sub-committee chairperson. This position necessitated site visits, evaluations and assessments. She also managed the grant application process and coordinated related training sessions with potential recipients. The role of chairperson also included being responsible for grant recommendations and presentations to the Board.
 
Ms. Ganious is also the Co-Founder of the Bertrand Neighborhood Association. The purpose of the association is to reduce crime, monitor code compliance issues, and to promote a beautiful neighborhood. She assisted the association with the attainment of its 501c3 certification. In this capacity she also coordinated crime watch events and neighborhood clean up projects.
 
 

Rita C. White

Rita White is an experienced executive with more than twenty-five years of sales, manufacturing and distribution of products, management of sales forces and real estate sales, both commercial and residential. She specializes in office and industrial leasing; oversees the training and direction of associates; and assists with company-wide publication and marketing activities.

Experience:
Mrs. White began her sales career in 1980 when she founded a cosmetics company and rapidly expanded it to a multimillion-dollar entity with over 7,000 salespersons in eighty-one cities across the country. After selling the company in 1989, Mrs. White took on management of personal lease properties and decided to become actively involved in the real estate industry. For six years she served as a multimillion-dollar residential and commercial agent in the Century 21 system, eventually transitioning completely into the commercial arena with The Collins Company. In March of 1998, Mrs. White joined the Quorum Commercial team. At that time, Mrs. White was the Mayor\'s appointee to the City of Dallas Plan (Zoning) Commission. She also served as chair of the Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee (ZOAC), the advisory arm of the City Plan Commission. Mrs. White is a graduate of the Greater Dallas Association of REALTORS Leadership Program; serves on the Board of Directors of The Dallas Summit and Black and Clark Memorial Services; is the National Historian and National Convention Chair of the Continental Societies, Inc. (national children\'s charity); a member of the city of Dallas\' Judicial Nominating Commission; and an active community service volunteer. Previous board positions include the YWCA, the Tejas Girl Scout Council and the Dallas Tennis Association. Mrs. White has received many awards and recognitions for her professional and civic contributions.

Education:
Mrs. White received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Med with minors in Allied Sciences and Secondary Education from Howard University in the District of Columbia. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and she also attended the Texas A&M University doctoral program in Community College Administration. She is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of REALTORS.

Accomplishments:
Mrs. White has located and negotiated lease transactions for Douglas Broadcasting\'s radio station acquisitions and for Worldwide Technology\'s expansion to the Dallas area. She was also instrumental in assisting a New York corporation in its expansion and relocation to Dallas. Mrs. White has listed and assisted in the leasing of retail and industrial properties, as well as acquisition of properties for individual investors. In addition, she brings her administrative acumen, leadership and training abilities to the company\'s productivity and success.
 
 

Phyllis S. Hill
Sales Associate

Areas of Specialization:
Phyllis Hill\'s background is reflective of experience and training in the real estate, contract negotiation, and marketing arenas. As a sales associate with Quorum Commercial, she is responsible for research, property profit/expense analysis, lease negotiations, commercial property acquisition and disposition, as well as assisting clients who are interested in commercial real estate as an investment vehicle.

Experience:
Ms. Hill developed her marketing skills while employed as a Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) campus administrator. While overseeing a variety of community programming and special events, she gained experience in community needs assessment. This provided her with the unique opportunity to develop and market programming via the media. In addition, she has authored three publications.

Ms. Hill trained and received certification in the areas of negotiation and conflict resolution. Observed applying her skills in a dispute, she was requested to assist attorneys with clients in the areas of risk analysis and jury selection. Phyllis is also trained as a Public Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). This opportunity was a perfect fit for her avid interest in the stock market and other economic forecasters such as real estate.

Education:
Ms. Hill attended the University of Illinois-Chicago, and received a Bachelor of Journalism degree in Advertising from the University of Nebraska. After completing Northlake College\'s Dispute Resolution Program she was accepted into Southern Methodist University\'s Master of Liberal Arts program. At SMU, the focus of her course work was Dispute Resolution. Ms. Hill is trained and certified in the following: Negotiation Skills for Conflict Resolution, Mediation, Finance and Negotiation, and she holds certification to practice Family and Marriage Mediation in the State of Texas. She is also trained as an arbitrator, and is a Licensed International Financial Analyst (Chartered Member). In addition, she is pursuing commercial real estate\'s Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation through coursework at the CCIM Institute.

Accomplishments:
Contacted by a national franchise, Ms. Hill located and negotiated the restaurant\'s first Dallas location. She is adept at assisting a variety of clients in the disposition and acquisition of property. Yanna Leonard-Landry
Sales and Leasing Associate

Areas of Specialization:
As a Sales and Leasing Consultant for Quorum, Mrs. Leonard-Landry navigates and performs variable real estate transactions to include detailed property research, new construction, land assemblage projects and market analysis. Additionally, she is responsible for commercial lease negotiations as well as property acquisition and disposition.

Experience:
Mrs. Leonard-Landry began her career in the real estate industry in 1997 as an administrative assistant with a major commercial real estate management firm. During her tenure, she was first exposed to the various aspects of property management and leasing. However, by 2001, she was transferred into the commercial brokerage department. It was while working within the acquisition/disposition division that she chose the real estate industry as her career. In 2004, Mrs. Leonard-Landry began the required real estate courses. She obtained her Texas Real Estate License in July, 2004. By October of the same year, she began ‘testing the waters’ by joining a residential brokerage. It was there that she gained both the necessary skills to negotiate sale and purchase contracts, market listings and succeed at buyer representation. On several occasions, Mrs. Leonard-Landry had the honor of being the top producer within her office. In 2009, she decided to step out and fully pursue her passion for commercial real estate and thus, joined the Quorum Team.

Education:
Mrs. Leonard-Landry obtained an Associate Degree of Arts and Sciences in 1995 from Cedar Valley College located in Lancaster , Texas . Presently, she is a senior at Dallas Baptist University ( Dallas , TX ) pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. In addition, Mrs. Leonard-Landry continues to hone her career skills by seeking and completing various forms of continuing education. Most recently, she began coursework at CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Institute and has already completed introductory courses in Commercial Real Estate Investment Analysis.
 
Accomplishments:
Mrs. Leonard-Landry is a member of North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) and the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce. A firm believer in servant-leadership, she is committed to serving both the church and community. Presently, Mrs. Leonard-Landry serves her church with administrative support to the senior pastor. Sheryl R. Smith-Alexander has over 25 years as a sales professional and in excess of 16 years specifically in commercial property management, commercial and residential sales and leasing, plus additional expertise in business administration and operational management. She specializes as a liaison for contract negotiation and conflict resolution. She’s recognized by her peers as being the “calm voice in the storm.”
 
Experience:
Ms. Smith-Alexander began her career as a marketing representative in 1981. From her introduction to real estate in 1992 she continually surpassed her goals. She played pivotal roles for investment companies whom she assisted in the due diligence process. In property management, she provided data analysis with financial reporting and budgets as well as supported critical banking facilities. Ms. Smith-Alexander has written contracts that cover a wide spectrum, including owner financed, government, VA and short sales.
 
Education:
Ms. Smith-Alexander received her bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in 1981. She graduated in the top tier of her class majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in English needing an additional 18 hours for a double major. Currently, she holds a Real Estate license in the State of Texas and is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR). She continually pursues additional coursework to for her broker’s license which should be completed by December, 2009.
